Biophilia is the hypothesis that, as natural beings, we have an affinity with other natural life. Edward O. Wilson popularised this theory and there have been many studies which prove the positive impact of plants, flowers and greenery on our lives.
Using biophilic design at Indoor Garden Design, we design and create plant displays for both interior and exterior sites across London and the rest of the UK – including Manchester, Yorkshire & the Midlands.
A study at The University of Exeter saw that offices and workspaces with plants experienced an increase in well-being, creativity and productivity. It is this principle on which we design our plant displays. Not only are there positive effects on the psychological well-being of the users in the space; but plants can also help to purify the air as well as aiding noise reduction in busier areas.
