JOB TITLE
Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

COMPANY INFORMATION
Indoor Garden Design supplies plants to offices. We are a large well-established company employing approximately 50 staff. The majority of plants we supply are single specimens in containers scattered throughout office environments. We have some atrium work and a small exterior division.

HOURS OF WORK
Approximately 6:30am – 2:30pm. Mon – Fri or Tues – Sat
Although these may vary slightly depending on clients requirements. P/T positions sometimes available for a minimum of 3 days per week.

PLACE OF WORK
Various locations in the City and West End although we do somtimes venture further. Also at the Indoor Garden Design Plant Warehouse located in Highgate, North London.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
• To maintain plants to the highest standards consistently by watering, cleaning, pruning and replanting when appropriate
• To identify necessary changes to plants using the appropriate processes as set by IGD to accomplish results.
• To plant up containers and general work in the Plant Room where appropriate and requested.
• To have a general level of fitness as many tasks require lifting and involves manual work.
• To work and cooperate as part of a team across a variety of locations and work under own initiative.
• To take responsibility for the standard of plant care at all allocated job sites.
• To record and log the various other appropriate documentation as required when carrying out your maintenance tasks.
• To ensure good relations with clients and be the on-site representative of the Company.
• To carry out tasks efficiently and with professionalism at all times.

• To monitor and remain aware of H & S risks and report as necessary.
• To be available for overtime and weekend working.
• To be responsible for a vehicle where one is allocated.

SALARY AND BONUS SCHEME
Dependant upon experience.

TRAINING PERIOD
Between 1 and 3 months, depending on level of experience.

TRIAL PERIOD
Between 3 and 6 months after training.
