Arguably the most versitile of all plants suitable for interior landscaping projects,
the Ficus family - including benjamina, lyrata, cyathistipula, nitida, australis, longifolius,
and panda - require good bright positions, usually by a window to maximise daylight.
There are many different forms of Ficus plant including the bush, standard stem, spiral stem,
plaited stem, open-plaited stem, double spiral and trellis amongst others. It is possible
to use variegated specimens in maximum light positions too. Available from 20cm to more than
12m in height (making them ideal specimens for use in large atria) and in a wide selection of
crown shapes, often festooned with aerial roots, this is truly a most adaptable plant.
